Pippo Corvino performs wonderful guitar music
accompanied with his trio and quartet along with a drummer
pianist and a bassist or singer.
After graduating from the Music Academy of Montenegro, the young guitarist entered the
University of Music and Performing Arts, Graz, department of jazz guitar.
Pippo has played in various bands and formations but not only connected to music as a performer,
he participated in performances of the Montenegrin National Theater, as a producer and music author.
Beside a wonderful experience of a guitar trio concert,
this formation is the best choice for the highest standard background music in hotels, music venues and special events.
Pippo Corvino was born in Pula, Croatia.
Corvino started playing classical guitar when he was nine years old. In Podgorica, Montenegro,
he finished primary music school under the tutelage of Professor Nedeljko Pejović and Srđan Bulatović.
In 2007, he entered the Music Academy of Montenegro, in the department of classical guitar
in the class of Professor Srđan Bulatović, In May 2010, Corvino continued his professional music
career at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Graz Austria, in the department
of jazz guitar in the class of Professor Guido Jeszenszky.
Pippo Corvino shared stage with several prestigious bands and formations across Europe.
Corvino played in many performances of the Montenegrin National Theater, in musical pieces such as:
”Christopher Columbus”, “Europe”, “Montenegro Blues”, and “Art Export”. Pippo Corvino was the music
producer for the play “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf?” and “When Women had Wings”, where he also was
the co-author of music. From 2008 on Corvino played at Petrovac Jazz Fest, and at many other jazz festivals
such as Trieste Jazz Festival, Venezia Jazz Festival, Jazz Appreciation Month (Montenegro), Whitefield Jazz Fest
(Montenegro), Beograd Jazz Fest (Serbia).
The soft melancholic sound of his guitar and impressing technique whilst improvising
- audiences cannot help but come under his spell of playing.
The young guitarist, Pippo Corvino is forging his own unique style throughout his entire career however
his influence extends from the jazz’s greatest guitarist, such as John Scofield, Jim Hall, Peter Bernstein
to more contemporary musicians as Pat Metheny.
